Key Staff

Rob is a Senior IT Consultant with Steeple Software Services. He is able to offer a wealth of varied experience gained in 40 years of working directly in the IT Industry. Rob still retains his original enthusiasm for his career and welcomes the opportunity to embrace new programming languages, exciting modern concepts and challenging improvements in working practices. His experience ensures that he can readily see and use the development and business enhancing opportunities these new skills provide.

This means that Rob brings a remarkable level of experience, knowledge and enthusiasm to his relationship with both existing and new clients. These skills enable him to readily assimilate the underlying requirements of your business and develop, with you and all levels of your staff, plans and strategies to address your discrete business needs. Invariably this results in a cost-effective solution that is fully supported at all levels of the company. Throughout the process he will work towards establishing a long-term relationship; this is a consultant who does not propose hypothetical solutions and disappear before they are implemented.

Steeple Software provide comprehensive support during planning, development, implementation and, most importantly, throughout the projects life cycle.

Rob is an experienced programmer and offers Assembler, RPG, COBOL and Microsoft Office family expertise.

His analytical skills were developed whilst working in Industry and for a leading National Software House. He has led or contributed towards major projects in most commercial areas (Finance, Payroll, Material/Production Control including the Supply Chain, Spares, Warranty, Automated and Manual Stores Control, Shop Floor Control, MRPII, MPS and Capacity Planning).

Immediately before joining Steeple Software Rob was a co-ordinator for Business Analysis in a major Motor Manufacturer. This involved dealing with all levels of employees, from main board to shop floor, in order to provide solutions based upon the winning principle of joint ownership.

Rob has a strong social conscience and out of work has raised many thousands of pounds for the local school whose Parent’s Association he chaired for many years. He is a committed School Governor and sees this role as essential in ensuring the best possible educational provision for our most important natural resource, our children.
